Guesthouse Neuwirt is a traditional family-operated business located in the place of pilgrimage Götzens opposite the pilgrimage church.

Our philosophy

Being young hosts with an innovative approach we realise our ideas with passion, and try to combine our expectations with those of our guests. We want to be a guesthouse that offers lifestyle and comfort, yet also tradition. With a lot of creativity, individualism and variety we want to endow our guests with many of those "wow" moments.

Our guesthouse offers a personal atmosphere, which is a result of the cooperation between us 5 sisters and our parents.
We want our guests and staff to feel like part of the family, and we want them to feel welcome at any time.

The hospitality sector is our passion, a passion, we were practically born with. Our grandparents Herta and Franz Happ on our mothers' side were the owners of the nationwide known Hotel Altwirt in Götzens from 1919. They inherited the hotel from their aunt Anna Thummer. On our fathers' side, Guesthouse Neuwirt was in the possession of the family from 1919, before it was sold to another family.

It is not only our family that are hosts with passion, but also our relatives in Salzburg. Hans & Edith have been managing Hotel Stroblerhof at the idyllic Wolfgang Lake together with their son Hannes and their daughter in law Kristin for many years. Maybe their little daughter Hannah will once take over and manage the hotel with the same passion, who knows?!
